Amerityre is looking for a diverse pool of qualified candidates for the Maintenance Technician position for the Production unit. Founded in 1996, Amerityre is a family‑owned leader in proprietary polyurethane tire technology. The company developed the first polyurethane automobile tire to pass DOT testing and now manufactures over 300 variations of flat‑free tires from its Boulder City, Nevada facility. As the largest flat‑free tire manufacturer in the U.S., Amerityre serves bicycle, mobility, agricultural, lawn and garden, and industrial markets, driven by its mission to deliver unique tire solutions through in‑house chemical formulation and tire design expertise. This is a full-time position located in Boulder City, Nevada.

Position Description:
Under the general supervision of the Plant Manager the Maintenance Technician will support preventive maintenance activities and machine system repairs at our production manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a self-starter who is eager to learn our specific machinery and systems and grow their technical skill set over time.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician may include, without limitation:
  • Lifting up to 80 pounds at a time.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
  • Performing general machine shop work as needed (fabrication, repairs, part modifications).
  • Managing safety instruction, compliance, and related record keeping.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed maintenance and repair records.
  • Supporting a variety of tasks across different equipment and systems assigned.
  • Following all plant safety procedures and protocols.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
The Maintenance Technician will be selected with special preference given to the candidate’s training, experience, and aptitude in the fields of machinery maintenance, mechanical repair, and industrial equipment support. A qualified candidate must have: (1) Prior experience performing maintenance or repair work in a manufacturing, industrial, or machine‑shop environment (2) A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Experience with building systems maintenance.
  • Experience with machinery maintenance and repair.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
  • Working knowledge of compressed air systems.
  • Basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping habits.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and take on machine shop work.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Salary: The salary for this position is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Working Conditions:
The work is performed in a manufacturing facility environment in Las Vegas, Nevada. Employees may be exposed to production noise, machinery, temperature variations, and physical activity associated with manufacturing operations. Personal protective equipment is required in designated areas.

Work Schedule:
The work schedule for this position is to be determined; however, this role typically follows either a 4‑day, 10‑hour work schedule or a 5‑day, 8‑hour work schedule. Overtime may be required during peak production periods.
